The areas maintained for nordic skiing (Bigfork Community Nordic Center and Blacktail Nordic Trails) are entirely funded by donations and manned by volunteers.   If you have not made a donation/contribution and would like to contribute, please view/download the donation flyer to make your donation.  If you HAVE made a contribution...THANK YOU!, and please encourage any folks or businesses you may know to make a donation to guarantee the success of the North Shore Nordic Club!  Cash donations pay for use of snowmobiles and snow grooming implements, gas and oil, liability insurance, and maintenance labor.  Fuel, equipment, and maintenance have significant costs...please help if you can.

To Our Bigfork Nordic Skiers:  Our snowmobile has had a fatal breakdown and we will be unable to groom the Foothills/BCNC area until further notice. We apologize for this inconvenience. We will need to rebuild the snowmobile's engine. We hope to be up and running again by the middle of February. We will also be fundraising for brand new equipment for the Foothills/BCNC area for the 2011 season. Please contact Dave Hadden (837-0783) if you can help with funding or can help with alternative grooming ideas. Thank you for your understanding!

Foothill Nordic trails are not currently being groomed.  Our snowmobile is in the shop until about 12/29. We will post an update when grooming has resumed. Thank you for your patience!!

The Blacktail Mountain Nordic Trails are only groomed currently from the top parking lot at mile 8 (from Highway 93).  Until further snowfall arrives, grooming from the Lower Parking Lot (Mile 6.5) will not occur. The Nordic Trails at Blacktail Mountain are groomed and ready!  Get out there and enjoy the fresh tracks and corduroy.  The Bigfork Community Nordic Center (Foothill Road/Jewel Basin) is still awaiting additional snow and the grooming snowmobile needs a a few repairs.  Keep an eye on the updates on this page and the Trail Conditions page to see where things are at!

Come and join us at 6pm Sunday, October 25th at the NSNC Kick and Glide Party at the Tamarack Brewing Company Ale House and Grill for our season kick off party.  We'll have a silent auction, a raffle and door prizes. Admission is free to join a gathering of great people, along with music from Brett Holmquist from 7pm to 10pm, and of course, the great food and beverages provided by the Tamarack Brewing Company - Ale House and Grill.  See you there!!!
